Fix problems with Google Play Instant
Note: Android Instant Apps is currently only available on some devices.
This page will help you find solutions for problems with instant apps. If you're having an issue with an app that is installed on your device, describe your issue in the box near the top of the page where it says "search the Google Play Help Center" to search for help.
Select the issue you have
An instant app freezes, crashes, or won't load
Check your web connection
Check that you have a WiFi or mobile data connection which is active and working. A simple way to do this is by searching the web. Click on this link to search Google for cats. If you see information on cats, your internet connection is probably not the issue.
If that search doesn't work, connectivity might be a problem. Try to fix your connectivity issues.
Try to reload the app
After you confirm your internet connection is working, click on the link again and see if the instant app loads properly.
Use the web instead
If you checked your connection and tried to reload the app and it still doesn't work, you can get to your content using a web browser (like Chrome or Firefox)
I'm having a problem paying for something in an instant app
Your payment won't go through
I want to use a different payment method / option
Not all payment options may be available in instant apps. If you want to use a payment method which isn't listed when you check out, install the app on your device or use the web instead.
I want to see recently used instant apps
You can see which instant apps you have used recently:
- On your device, open the Settings app
.
- Tap "Apps & notifications" which will show recently opened apps at the top.
- Tap any app to see more details about the app. Instant apps you've used will also appear in the list of recent apps in your phone overview menu
.
I want to change instant app settings
Clear data for a specific instant app

.
