Hey Duggee The Drawing Badge

The Drawing Badge is a simple badge to start your Squirrel Club badge collection. It can be as easy as drawing some pictures together, or you can make things more complicated by trying out different media and more challenging things together.

Here's a clickable checklist of ideas to get your Drawing Badge Badge:

Draw the things the Squirrels and Duggee draw. Here's the list:

  • Flower
  • Puddle
  • Ball
  • Tree
  • Banana

Try out different media. Start off with pencils, crayons and felt tips, and move on to chalk, paint and anything else you can think of.

You could also try drawing Duggee and the Squirrels. Drawing Tutorials 101 has some excellent tutorials for drawing the characters:

For little ones who are not yet ready for drawing tutorials, there is a Duggee dot-to-dot available on the official Hey Duggee website:

Arty Games Online

There's a whole host of options for drawing games and apps available online. If you want to stick with the Hey Duggee theme then check out the Duggee Doodle game on the CBeebies website:

  • Duggee Doodle Game

There are lots of other arty games on the CBeebies website featuring all of your favourite characters:

  • CBeebies Art Games

Duggee and the Squirrels are also available on the free CBeebies Get Creative App.

Pictionary

Pictionary is a great drawing game and one you can start early if you choose the right words. We would probably struggle to work out what my two-year-old is drawing but we might be able to guess some of my four-year-old's clues. One option is to buy the junior version or the original game which is aimed at children aged 7+. The difference between Junior Pictionary and regular Pictionary is the questions are easier.

Alternatively, you can make your own cards. Our Pastimes has templates and suggestions for making your own cards:

  • Homemade Pictionary Cards
